Some people might look at the glass and see it as half empty, while others might see it as half full. For me, I just see water — something to tackle, something to appreciate, or simply something to keep moving through.

My journey into this work has been a natural blend of passion and purpose. As a member of the Missanabie-Cree First Nation, I’ve always felt most at home working within Indigenous communities.

My career began in administrative roles in the health sector, where I supported initiatives aimed at uplifting Indigenous communities. Later, I ran my own trucking company in Michigan, gaining invaluable experience as a small business owner. Over time, my love for working with people and my growing interest in investments led me to my current role. My entrepreneurial background, combined with my experience in community health, has given me a well-rounded perspective that I bring to everything I do today. This was a path I had always hoped to follow, even before realizing it.

At CWB Wealth’s T.E. Wealth Indigenous Services, I play a vital role in keeping our team on the pulse of things. I handle the essential behind-the-scenes work, from finalizing First Nations reports to managing tax documents for clients, ensuring our team delivers the best client experience possible.

When I look at our team, our key differentiator is that most of us have shared Indigenous backgrounds, which gives us a unique stake in the conversations we have with the diverse communities we serve.

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through fitness, and aquatics, and spending time with my family, including our dog. I also make time to visit Missanabie annually. It is a very grounding experience that reminds me of why I work so hard, and it lets me reconnect with my roots to recharge my spirit.
