“Today, I will be better.”

With a focus on building long-term, trust-based relationships, I work with several multi-generational clients in all facets of estate planning. This includes strategies designed to minimize the tax implications of wealth transfers to younger generations. Success in my approach requires developing a deep understanding of my clients’ individual needs and challenges across various life stages, experience I have gained over almost 25 years in wealth management.

After starting my career in retail banking, I moved into financial planning in 2000 and have developed long-term relationships with clients across the GTA and beyond. I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) designations, having previously received my BA in Economics from The University of Guelph while playing varsity hockey.

Beyond the Office

I live in Scotland, Ontario with my wife, our two dogs and the constant back and forth that comes with having four adult children. As a young man some years ago, I played Junior A hockey in Peterborough. These days, despite being a bit slower on the ice, I stay sharp as a coach and scout.

I have a passion for helping people and giving back, and my family and I have been actively associated with a non-for-profit charity in Hamilton for many years. This organization helps young people explore and instill important values, build stronger relationships, and compassionately participate in their local communities and abroad.
