Bob has been successfully managing investment portfolios for over 30 years. In that time, he’s seen the success of many different investment strategies. He strongly believes that a strategy focused on growing dividends is the best way to help investors achieve their long-term objectives. With long-term dividend growth and the power of compounding, significant wealth can be created. Bob brings a unique blend of business, investment and political experience to every decision he makes. This is a result of his fascinating and varied career, his board positions and education.

After starting out as a securities analyst, he founded an institutional research company where he dedicated himself to research, analysis and corporate finance. The company purchased an investment firm and he served as Chairman of the Board of the newly merged company, which was ultimately sold to a larger national investment firm. He then took on the task of growing another national investment, however, politics came calling. His sojourn in public service included the positions of Minister of Energy and then Minister of Citizenship for the Province of Ontario. Following this, he went back to his roots, joining Glen Ardith-Frazer, which subsequently merged with our firm.

Bob’s board work, in both not-for-profit and profit has included hospitals, foundations, trust companies, television stations and more. He has served on the Member Services Committee of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada, the Schulich International Advisory Council, Chair of the Canadian Automobile Association (SCO) and continues to serve on the Educational Institute of the Ontario Association of Former Parliamentarians, and St. Andrew’s United Church, Toronto.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and physics from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from Schulich School of Business.

Beyond the Office

Though it’s hard to believe Bob can fit anything else into his life, he’s also into food, reading, travelling, politics and investments, family and friends.
