A random scholarship application I received for a school in Portugal shifted my initial plan to leave Antigua for the U.S., and I headed there instead. It was a pivotal moment that deviated from the path taken by my father and brother. The experience opened me to new perspectives that would continue to shape my worldview through years of study, work and travel abroad. Experiencing various cultures and languages helped me grow immensely, and build confidence through navigating uncertain situations with little preparation.

On moving to Canada, I applied my background in customer service, asset management, trading and business analysis to roles in financial services positions within the banking sector. I joined CWB Wealth in 2018, progressing through various roles, including Senior Administrator, Reporting Analyst, Manager of Trading and Investment Performance, and Manager of Private Client Operations. In my current position as Assistant Vice President, Operations and Trading, I build trusted relationships with teams to deliver timely and accurate account updates, trade execution, and settlement services.

I’m all about asking questions and finding solutions to new and complex issues. That’s why, as head of our operations and trading teams, I seek full understanding of the systems and processes we employ. My experience in the fast-paced investment industry has taught me that while speed is valuable, accuracy and having a clear plan of action with your desired outcome in mind pays the long-term dividends.
