"No matter how good you get, you can always get better. This motivates me to constantly improve and help others be the best versions of themselves."

As a proud member of Georgina Island First Nation, empowering Indigenous communities through financial wellness and sustainability holds deep personal significance for me. I am extremely fortunate that my education was funded by my reserve. Their investment in my academic journey and personal growth helped shape my professional trajectory, and deepened my commitment to giving back and serving Indigenous communities across Canada.

I’ve always been drawn to numbers and business, which naturally led me to a career in accounting. I began my journey in auditing and consulting, but five years ago, I made a pivotal career shift to this practice. It was a decision driven by my desire to align my work with my values and make a meaningful impact on Indigenous communities.

Since then, I’ve been proud to serve on our Indigenous Services team, helping communities develop financial strategies that protect their assets and empower them to plan for the future. By adopting a seven-generation approach, we aim to create sustainable opportunities for future generations.

I’m passionate about providing financial advice to Indigenous communities that truly reflects their values and goals. The Indigenous services offered through CWB Wealth have been focused solely on Indigenous financial services for over 30 years, which has allowed us to build deep, meaningful trust with the communities we serve. We don’t just offer financial plans—we work together to build relationships and offer ongoing support. My goal is to help communities not only navigate their financial future, but also feel confident and empowered in the choices they make for themselves and future generations.

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, I’m all about staying active, whether that’s playing hockey or just finding ways to move. I’ve also rediscovered my love for reading and writing, especially after taking a creative writing course. My favourite book is A Gentleman in Moscow, and when it comes to TV shows, I’m hooked on The Bear, Breaking Bad, and True Detective. These are activities that keep me curious and remind me to embrace creativity.
