“From day one, my passion for Indigenous peoples and the communities that our practice has partnered with across Canada has grown significantly. I’ve built lasting friendships, connected with amazing people and seen how powerful a shared vision can be!”

I first got involved with the Indigenous community over 25 years ago while working at a national accounting firm. The true turning point came when a professional Indigenous colleague within the firm, and a good friend, invited me to his community celebration. I immediately felt a strong connection. Being welcomed into that space was an incredibly moving experience—it gave me a deeper understanding of the culture, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous communities. That moment sparked my passion to co-create our dedicated Indigenous Advisory practice, to help these communities thrive.

As I began attending Indigenous conferences and learning more, I recognized a pressing need for financial guidance that was tailored to the unique values and long-term visions of these communities. Too often, traditional financial services didn’t fully understand the cultural context or the importance of community-driven decision-making. This realization shifted my focus entirely. I knew I wanted to build a practice that not only provided financial solutions, but also empowered communities to navigate their financial futures with confidence and clarity, while honouring their cultural and social priorities.

Today, as the lead and co-founder for T.E. Wealth’s Indigenous Services practice, our Investment & Trust Advisory Services team is made up of predominantly Indigenous professionals, who work closely with community Trusts. We co-develop trust agreements, design investment policies, and assist with the investment manager search and selection process, providing ongoing performance monitoring.

Added to this, we support Trustees and Members through ongoing financial literacy sessions to help build meaningful, lasting relationships based on trust and respect, so they can achieve their goals today—and for future generations.

Beyond the Office

When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the golf course in the summer or curling in the winter together with being an avid sports fan. Being near the water brings me peace—I’m a self-proclaimed “water baby.” Whether I’m working or pursuing personal passions, my dedication to community, family, and sustainability drives everything I do.
