“Strive to get things right the first time, every time.”
Having immigrated to Canada from Ukraine at a young age, I’m still awed by the countless doors and pathways to success available here.
Over 10 years ago, I lucked into a short internship with the product development team of a major Canadian mutual fund provider. I remember feeling like I’d snuck into Santa’s workshop, suddenly finding myself amongst people tasked with scanning the landscape of real-life Canadians coast-to-coast, understanding their truest financial worries and creating investment solutions to address them.
Though it would take me years to return to private wealth management, that experience of helping investors forge their path towards financial success stuck with me.
In the meantime, I completed my studies in Business at Queen’s University and then began working in corporate finance for one of the world’s largest oil and gas producers, concurrently working towards my Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Eventually though, I found myself craving human connection over corporate ROIs. The feeling I’d had years ago when seeing investors and their families flourish under sound financial guidance called to me, and I knew that was where I belonged.
Today, having returned to private wealth management in 2017, I’m fortunate to love a career that lets me craft the individualized pathways to success for each of the families I work with. I aim to balance technical portfolio discussions around individual holdings, asset allocations, and overall mandate with candid conversations regarding the true purpose of their wealth. I believe this approach helps investors feel at ease knowing that the details of their investments are actively attended to, without losing the forest for the trees.
Having found my calling, I look forward to helping my clients achieve their own dreams too.
Beyond the Office
I volunteer with my local Alma Mater as a past President of Calgary’s Queen’s Alumni chapter, and currently serve as a board member for the Children’s Cottage Society. I also enjoy spending time in the mountains with my husband and dog, hiking, camping or honing my questionable snowboarding skills.
